Stellenbeschreibung:

Supports pharmacists in dispensing medications and running pharmacy operations. Prepares prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and labeling medications, manages inventory, and Page 52 provides customer service by answering basic questions and handling transactions in a pharmacy (community or hospital setting).

Aufgabenbereich:

Responsible for the accurate preparation of prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist. Ensures the pharmacy shelves are stocked and medications are stored properly (e.g., by refrigeration, light sensitivity). Assists in compounding simple ointments or solutions as directed. Also responsible for administrative duties like filing prescriptions, handling phone inquiries, and processing insurance claims or payments at the register.

Bildungsanforderungen:

Completed PTA training program (Pharmazeutisch-technischer Assistent Ausbildung) and licensure/registration as a pharmacy technician. Good understanding of common medications and pharmaceutical calculations, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills for customer interaction.

Kernaufgaben:

Count and package tablets or capsules for prescriptions; create prescription labels and attach necessary warning stickers; assist customers at the pick-up counter, verifying identities and providing prepared medications; maintain clean and organized work areas including the compounding lab; monitor stock levels and expiry dates, generating orders for new stock as needed; support pharmacists by retrieving patient files or medication guides during consultations.
