Addresses environmental aspects of manufacturing and engineering projects. Works on pollution control, waste management, and sustainability initiatives within plants, ensuring operations comply with environmental regulations and corporate sustainability goals.

Aufgabenbereich:

Responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments and implementing measures to minimize a facility's environmental footprint (e.g., reducing emissions, treating wastewater, recycling programs). Liaises with government agencies for permits and reporting and leads internal training on environmental best practices.

Bildungsanforderungen:

Bachelor's or Master's in Environmental Engineering or related field (Chemical Engineering with environmental focus, etc.). Knowledge of German environmental regulations (TA Luft, Kreislaufwirtschaftsgesetz, etc.) and experience with environmental management systems (ISO 14001).

Erfahrung: Mid-Level

Kernaufgaben:

Monitor air and water emissions from the plant and ensure they are within permitted levels; manage waste disposal and recycling contractors; prepare documentation for environmental audits and inspections; develop sustainability projects (energy saving, resource efficiency) and calculate their benefits; respond to any environmental incidents or complaints with corrective action plans.
