Designs and optimizes wind energy systems, including wind turbine components and wind farm layouts. Analyzes wind data, terrain, and environmental factors to maximize energy output and ensure the structural integrity and reliability of wind turbines.

Responsible for engineering calculations and simulations related to aerodynamics and structural loads on wind turbines. Selects appropriate turbine models for project sites, oversees installation from a technical standpoint, and collaborates with environmental and regulatory specialists to meet all guidelines.

Bildungsanforderungen:

Bachelor's or Master's in Renewable Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of wind turbine technology, fluent in simulation tools (CFD for airflow, FEA for stress), and familiarity with permitting processes for wind farms.

Conduct wind resource assessments using meteorological data; design blade and tower modifications or select turbines to suit site conditions; plan wind farm layout to minimize wake effects and maximize efficiency; coordinate with civil engineers on foundations and grid engineers on electrical connections; monitor performance of operational turbines and suggest improvements or maintenance strategies.
